The Waikato Rural Support Trust still urges the farmers to call in for help despite the little rainfall. It claims that the scanty rainfall does not mark the end of the drought. A drought was declared early in April in the region.
$41M for NZ Infrastructure Fund and Still Counting
A whopping amount of $41million has been raised as infrastructure fund by retail investors in New Zealand.

New Shell Stations Built Near Tauranga
It has been seen that the first petrol station would be built in Bethlehem area which is north of Tauranga.
The construction would be starting next month on a Shell station on State Highway 2 and the station would open for public in October.
This station would provide around 12 fulltime jobs and would be operating 24 hours a day.
Government Puts $5m in Housing Project
It was told by Housing Minister, Phil Heatley that the Government would be putting $5 million in housing project to help families own their homes and provide affordable accommodation for old people. This money would go under the Housing Innovation Fund.
Around 30 families would be helped in the project to afford their own homes and 15 rental properties would be given to the older people.
Low Income Growth Prompts Government to Pay Attention to Wages
